I haven’t seen this link out yet. I remember watching this when it aired years ago. It reminds me a lot of what is going on now. I think it speaks volumes about society as it stands…and this was back in 2007/2008. We raise our black sons to be afraid of white men in police uniforms. When does it end?

My dream and desire is for ALL little girls to have this much pride, love and esteem for themselves.
she is truly beautiful and her parents raised her to know it.
My people. Black people. Why must we all be so brainwashed? I wish we were all more educated about the Black culture. I wish we were all more aware of the shit that goes on around us. We seem to walk around blind. My Black men (not all) these days care more about having sex with the “baddest” female, opposed to finding the perfect woman to make his wife and have children with. Black men (not all) care more about having the most money, the nicest car, the nicest clothes instead of looking after his brothers and sisters, and becoming more educated. Black women (not all) care more about having the nicest weave.. the nicest shoes instead of looking after her brothers and sisters, and becoming more educated. Oh man I’m so sick of it. The world has trained my people to believe the we are all equal. If that does not outrage me the most!!! Black people are more against each other than anything. My brothers die every single day in these streets and no one could give two shits. Its so sickening. Its sad. I could cry right now typing this. It seems as though more Black people seem ashamed to be Black. Society has made my Race out to be a fucking joke. How can you not watch television and open up the news papers and not see that? More and more Black men not wanting to breed and marry Black women because they don’t want their children to be “too Black”, and even if he does want a Black woman she’s got to be the lightest of them all. They just disregard my beautiful chocolate sisters. Society says the “longer the hair”, the “silkier the hair” The more beautiful the hair. So we go out and buy relaxers and spend hundreds of dollars on long silky weaves. My beautiful chocolate sisters bleaching their skin because society says lighter skin is more beautiful. FUCK SOCIETY!!! Society has brain washed my people! My beautiful Black people! & the worst part about it all.. WE CONTINUE TO LET THEM!
